

About Team Darenth Youth
Team Darenth is a youth cycling club with around 40 enthusiastic youth members. We offer engaging Saturday morning sessions that are a blend of coached sessions, ride-outs, and the TD challenge.
Our coached sessions cover a range of skills and activities that include:
- Basic cycling skills
- Mountain biking (MTB) skills
- Fitness training
- Rides out
- Race training for MTB and Cyclo-cross
All of our youth sessions are led by British Cycling-qualified coaches to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience for all riders.
At Team Darenth, we are proud to have a dedicated coaching team comprising 10 coaches and rider leaders. This team brings a vast array of cycling experience, including racing in MTB, Cyclo-cross, and BMX.
Saturday Sessions Overview
Session Structure:
- Arrive at 09:45 to sign in
- All riders are grouped by age and ability.
- 09:55 The lead coach organizes the riders into their groups for the session briefing.
- 10:00 Each group, guided by their designated coach, then proceeds with their activity. This could involve skills training on-site, off-site, or simply a ride-out.
- Each session typically lasts for 2 hours.
What does a rider need for a session
- Bike, mountain bike would be best
- Safe helmet
- Waterproof jacket
- Bottle of water
- Snack
- Spare inner tube suited to their bike
- Cash (for older groups, in case of a café stop)
- Riders should be appropriately dressed for 2 hours of outdoor activity, considering the weather conditions on the day.
- Riders should be fueled and ready for 2 hours of activity and riding.
- Ensure that their bike is in good working order and safe to use.

Team Darenth hosts youth cycling sessions every Saturday morning from 09:45 to 12:00, with the exception of the school summer holidays when we take a break.
